Got to love sea blue with Ercos! Beautiful.
About the 'simpson-bar', what size is the thread at the back pillar to mount the bar?

Looking great! What size and thickness are the CMS wheels? Where did you get them? Do you run a narrowed beam?

It has been a while ...
VERY slowly getting there. The body has been welded. The inside, engine bay and trunk are ready for painting. The exterior will be done by the bodyshop.
In october the last adjustments will be made on the body and the bug has to be painted this year! I'm going to be a father this december so I want the 'dirty' work to be done before the birth of my daughter
Some pics:
sandblasting
Body was in overall good condition. But it has been repared badly.
Original in perfect condition donor part used to repare it as it should be
The trim has been removed btw
Only the bottom side has been replaced on both sides
some other pics
front also had an accident
clean dash
Bought a set of good doors
Day moulding fenders
Testfitting
I hope that the next update will be one in colour

About a month ago I’ve got the body back from the painter. The body stood 5 months at the first painter. He kept making promises bit when I realized that this was going nowhere I picked the body up and brought her to another painter. He did a perfect job. The car is absolutely beautifull
I’m now reassembling her. When she’s ready I will post pics in colour
On this day 4 years ago I started disassembling her... so far the restauration that would take about a year... ooops!

Slowly putting al the parts back together. She’s looking more and more like a car again
Today I mounted the windows. Or at least I tried to. The new back and side windows are in. The front one broke... F***!
Need to by a new one (again)

Wow! I wasn't expecting that! Looks great, a bit of the Dave Rhoads influence?
