I want to buy a set of Erco's for my bug.

I know that there are real and fake erco's.
But they said me that the quality of the fake ones is realy bad...
And that they are not made to use on a daily driver, but only for sprinting.

Is that true?

Thanks Smiley

Custom Metal Spinning in Paramount CA
Walt is the owner and their phone numberis 562-531-9600
He did the custom rims for the Fiat for me

I wonder what the strength of them is like! It would be great if they were as good, but why so cheap?

That's a cool video. And that's a nasty crack. I think I will order up some of those 4" USA wheels for my car. They're thick and my 145/165 tire combo will fit well on them.  And they look very close to original DDS. And they are 10lbs each, so a weight savings.

Where can I order those 4" USA wheels???
I really want to have DDS styled rims for my bug, but the 3,5" in the front is to small for my street bug :? I guess...

Looks like these are even thicker than Erco's (correct me if I'm wrong Smiley  )
"Spun forged from .242" thick Aluminum."

So I think I can use these on the street!

Thanks!!!

CMS make the wheels for Erco and produce their own version also, Erco have the pattern for the bubble offset wheels. Running the race weight ones on the street does seam like its going to end in tears...

The maker of the wheels is "USA Wheels" in (of course) the USA.  They have an ad on Samba, find that and go to their website and maybe you can work something out directly with the maker.

My CMS wheels required 60-degree cone lug bolts.
