I suction cup mounted to the right quarter window inside car worked good.   Irwindale wont let you mount outside car but inside is ok.   You running your car at Bugin?

Going to try, have a valve train issue, going to check it out this weekend and fix it, if all is good, changing my dis to a real one, my MSD. Grin Plus some other changes, to try to squeeze some more HP out of it. How about you Jason? Running?

I think inside is the best. Outside the sound of the wind is anoying.

Here's some more ideas for mounting. Also a good example of how the wind noise can be. Quieter noise is with the solid back, that stock-motor-challenge car had an open back or skeleton case, which makes the wind very loud.

I have used the suction cup on the rear window as in this video:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/NBpzyM2C7h4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/NBpzyM2C7h4</a>

I now use a mount on the roll bar.

NHRA rules say that the mount cannot be plastic.....not that you will run at an NHRA event,....but you never know.

It,s not drag Racing but,
here i have my GoPro mounted on the cross brace of the centre hoop on the roll bar.
I use the skeleton back and the sound is not to muffled or distorted.
There is also no noticable vibration.
