hello all!! It's been 19 months since Gary "shubee" Shubrook passed away. I am happy to tell you that I have completed two of his projects! The 67 VW bug has new seats and head liner and even a tribute to him embroidered in the back seat.  As of today his 67 Chevy 2 Nova is also complete and ready for its first show on Sunday.  I know many of you miss my guy but he lives on in our hearts!  I miss him TONS and I hope I have made him proud.    Becky.

. Pics to follow.

Becky... Bless you for your dedication  on gary;s behalf. he was an artisan and enthusiast at heart. I know it must be difficult to be in your position but he is missed by many that he touched,  Dyno Don  ?The Voice"

Becky,

I think we are anxious to see photos of the vehicles you mention.

Great work; no doubt difficult, but does wonders for the soul. I'm interested in some pictures, too!

Cant wait to see it in person!

Am I wrong, or are the 'post' cars more rare?

I'll have some Shoob '67 pics up soon to keep this thread 'kosher' ...  Wink

I know ... Just starting to feel real. So funny cause when I'm looking for something I ask him to help me find it and I always do find it!  Found all the inferior and exterior parts for the nova. Only had to buy a few things. To complete the car.

Tom you have been such a good friend and a big help to me.  I am so happy that your taking on Gary's last project-  his 58 Rag top that he dearly loved and had big visions for.   Thanks for being a true friend over the past 19 months!

Gary had so many plates .... I keep finding more and more.  He collected so many different things that I am trying to organize .  Have to get someone that can spot Chevy stuff vs VW. Lol.    Found some cool panel wagon and Chevy truck banks yesterday along with limited edition Chevy planes.  He was just a big kid!!

As long as I can remember Shubee build some of the nicest Cal Look cars when he was in DVB as well as the other club he belong too. I am happy I was able to spend some time with him at the Bug In a few years ago and we got to share some of the old pictures from the club we were in and some of the good time we had. Shubee will never be forgotten in my book great person to be around.
