Uppdating the rallyengines: one car in our serie beetle 1302, which has won the serie 2011 and 2012 had output of 118hp(engine).
Now we uppdated the engine with changing only JPM-cam+Scat rockers+JPM-pushrods+JPM-valvesprings, output is now 140hp!
This should be seen on raceresults later on, if the car will hold on the road. The next our own rallyengine will be much more soon also...

Our teamdrivers showed how to go with beetles... Kimmo with 1302 was 4th in his class on saturdays rally against golfs etc.
Stefan won his class today and was total 2nd! Only one Escort RS 2000 was in front.
Not bad start for this years summer rallys. We will continue uppdating the hp...

Last rally of our serie 2013 is finished. Winner was Eerola 1302 S, second Raitanen 1302 S, third Wiik 1303 S. The seriereport in www.golf17rally.com The 2013 serie winner is Juhani Laaksonen 1302 S with same points as Kimmo Raitanen 1302 S as 2nd, third in serie Timo Varis 1500 S type 3 !!! This was interesting serie again and we will continue this fast and fun play in the woods in 2014 also. The carmodels in serie 2013 were: 1302 S 1303 S 1500 S type 3 1600 L type 3 1600 TL fastback type 3 Karmann Ghia coupe Let see what new cars comes up to 2014... More info: info@kuplapaja.com |

First new 1302 S -71 historicrally for 2014 is ready to race! This time 140 hp and 160nm 1584cc will help this car towards the adventures. Some testing will be in this week and then we will do the next one... Jussi |

Next 1302 is allmost ready for racing too...Because of too warm winter the first rally was cancelled but now we have minus 18c and on next week 25. january the fun will start! 10 aircooled VW:s will be at the starting line. First rally is drven. As i wrote before, this season will be more interesting than before. Top 3 was very tight to the last specialstage and then it happened: 3 cars went out and only the 1st position stayed still... Winner 1302 S Eerola 2nd 1303 Wiik 3rd type 3 fastback Hannu!!!! 4th 1302 Juutilainen 5th type 3 notchback Varis 6th 1302 Liukkonen race was very different than before, allmost no snow on icy roads. Thats why it was very dangerous to drive out, because stones etc were very close. One 1302 from 2nd position went out and rolled over... Driver and codriver are ok, but beetle needs new roof, fenders, glasses, bumber, some platework + painting.. Next weekends rally is cancelled so we have to wait for another rally soon. more info of this first rally at www.golf17rally.com |

We pushed hard on the first rally of this new car and new codriver. we had possibilities to get 3rd place but slided out of road in the end of 5th specilastage only 500m left to finish... No problem i have 1303 plate hre and new engine is coming soon more info + picts www.golf17rally.com Jussi |

Next VW-rally will be after one week! Now it will be more interesting again. Fastest this far Eerola is not there driving and top 3 can have new names on now... Some new cars are on work but did not get ready for this rally. In next month there is one more race and then we can see who was this years champion. Level is nowadays high and cars are very competitive, We are coming to JPM dynoday where is more info also of the rallycars Jussi  |

One race is left on the serie and then we know the winner of this season. Cars are nowadays very reliable and all the time faster. We tested WASP on new engine and it seems to work very good on rally also, engine runs smoothly from 3 to 7800 where the limiter is now. Kuplapaja aircooled vw-rallyserie 2014 is now ended. Final rally was in Lohja with very tight corners and slippery roads because of weather was at last light before race minus 7. Weather was for aircooled engines perfect with daytime temperature around +10c. Race was very tight, at the first stage 3 cars went out, all managed to get back on the road, but one without rearwindow has damaged engine and retired on next serviceplace. Level has gone much higher this season and cars are much faster than before. All those top 4 cars on last races has over 150hp now... Ths races results made the top on the drivers for the totalresults. All results + more info + pictures at www.golf17rally.com and youtube kuplapaja aircooled rallyserie and facebook also. Winner of the serie 2014 is Kimmo Raitanen with his beautiful red 1302 S -71, second Stefan Wiik with also a very nice light blue 1303 S -73. All points wil be counted/checked soon and listed on the sites. Rally and this serie is very interesting and different hobby for those who like VW:s and want to get some adrenailne on in other than only sunnydays on asfalt tracks. Yes last dynoresult was 152hp 171nm 1584cc with IDA:s + belt on + mufler + airfilters all on = real rally driving condition. Works 100% and wide area to drive, limiter is at races on 8000rpm, takes 150km/h at 7500rpm easy... Jussi |

I've just spent the last hour watching (and listening! ) to the vid clips on your Facebook link. What style exhaust are most of the cars running? Is it allowed to be any design, any merge 4-1, or are the sounds coming from a modified stock style "log'" exhaust system for the rules? Thanks again. |

Exhaust is free in those beetles aged -71 -75, noices are checked on every race at 3500rpm max 103desibels. But on racesituation many rews 8000rpm... Jussi |
