First up is an MSD 6AL CD ignition, with MSD coil. This works with all four, six and eight cylinder engines. Details shown here:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-6420. The box is fitted with a 7000rpm rev-limit chip at present, but wil accept any MSD chips (readily available in UK). Also has tach output.
New, the box is a bit over £200, the coil around £40 – came with the 2.2E engine I have but I don't need it as going crank trigger and coil-pack etc. Works with stock distributor. £100 inc postage? EDIT: New, the 6AL alone is £269 in the UK, the coil £53...

This is the similar 6A, which does not have the rev limiting facility. Can be used with a regular coil on four. six and eight cylinder engines, with tach output. Details shown here: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-6200. This was fitted to my 912 when it arrived. How about £45 inc postage?

Hi Keith,

Does it definately work and can I connect a 2 or 3 step to it?
In no hurry for it, can I send a cheque?
