Rick, you're right about the black trim. Did you have full U.S. bumpers when you first got in the club? Also, was Bob's green car a ragtop? In the foreground, looks like Ramirez on the left and either Larry Perez or Alex Gonzales next to him. The guy next to the green car could pass for Bob Davis if he isn't. The dark gray car with chromies looks like either Kevan's or Marc Ito's. Wait... Kevan's was a '67 and that looks like an early decklid. So... Marc's?
Help an old guy out here, DEEKS.
Could that be Steve next to Keke's car and the guy in the orange shorts I think it's Dave Smith. Hey Tod, I think they meant Steve Dale, not Steve Wilkerson. Am I correct guys? And I think the guy in the orange shorts looks like Alex. Dave Smith was much taller. The one between them is perhaps one of the Kinney brothers?

I like Ghias... but it looks like the Formula Vee sticker kit was applied to an otherwise stock car. Any interior shots, Fabian?

Rayburn! Back in your cage! It would look pretty neat lowered with some early Riviera's on it... and a few cosmetic touch ups

Haven't seen this car in years! It's my friend, Jeff's, '67. I took this picture at Bug-In 31 O.C.I.R. in 1983. He and dad built this extremely clean car in their garage, around the corner from me. The 1960 Indian Red ragtop to the left was my roommate, Joe's (fellow DEEK), car. Bill Schwimmer and Joe almost traded cars back when Bill was driving the pink Squareback.
Jeff ended up trading his '67 in on a brand new 1984 VW Rabbit GTI at Lakewood Motors. I remember driving by the showroom one day... and there, in all of it's glory was Jeff's gorgeous blue '67, the center of attention. That car brought in a lot of people to ogle over it. I forgot the actual trade-in amount, but it was pretty fair. Their plan worked, 'cause I was told that someone came in and put down some serious cash for the car. Remember, this was during the Reagan years when our economy was booming and Americans weren't shy about spending money.
Wish that I thought to have taken some pictures of the car on the showroom... that would've been classic.
