Always dug on all of the Type 3 body styles. And my family had two Fastbacks... first one, we bought new in '69 (Savannah Beige) and the second one was a white all original '69 one that I built for my sister in 1982 or '83. A properly done Fastback looks GREAT.

I love your car Nicolas! If mine was a '67 sunroof I would have kept it. But I'm happy just living vicariously through you Smiley

True  Smiley

As for fastbacks, I personally allays like them more than those boring "sedans" Wink . But it seems that as notchbacks ware not available officially in the US (?), they became something like a curiosity and are prised more. But in Europe, it doesn't make sense.

You're correct... the Notchbacks were never officially sold in the States. Any that were here were brought over from other countries. Mostly Europe, of course. And I agree with you, and thought that it never made sense. But, that's how it was.

GREAT picture, Jago... what's going on with that other car in the background? By the way, I really like both of your engines. Nicely and properly finished; all business easy to maintain their looks.

The garage looks rather fun.

Thanks. We don't have any tradition of tuning Aircooled VW here in Poland but things are going in good direction.
The beetle is Qubek's (my brother) car:

Engine sitting on a stand is going to hmmm not a VW:P
And the car on the background is my girlfriend's fiat 500, I'm finishing it right now - it looked like this when I started:

And now it looks like this:

And there is also this one, currently waiting for some main bearings:/

So yes - the garage is fun:P

Speaking of Fiats, my sis and her husband are vacationing in Montepulciano and ran into a batch of elderly models in the town square one morning.  Later in the day, while visiting the tiny village of Deruta, another group was spotted with an impostor wedging into the line-up.
