Somewhere in the finger lakes region of New York state.

Is that Mike Maize's vert? And that's Seneca Lake?

Holy Crap, what coincidence!  Im 2500 miles away from home (Las Vegas) right now on vacation at my in-laws' place on the lake amongst the many vineyards. If you guys came across the Wagner Winery on your tour, I'm about a mile north of that vineyard and brewery.

My wife and I hiked the falls at Watkins Glen today, and I got some simply stunning photos of the gorge and falls with a new lens I'm trying out.  I've been here 9 days already but I'm headed back to Las Vegas tomorrow afternoon. I wish i would have known you guys were here!

Safe travels and enjoy the beautiful country side!

Scott Faivre

P.S. Was this just a personal trip, or is/was there a VW event going on in the area?

Hey Scott, yeah that's Maize's 'vert. He was up there for family vacation all week, should be arriving back in PA sometime today. That's completely wild you're in the area at the same time. Too bad you didn't cross paths.

What you can't see are the cool spun aluminum wheels on the Speedster.

I was headed to church this morning with the family, headed north on 414, and I saw a dark colored pick up towing a black early vert headed south bound. This is too cool! Wait until mike sees this post! Cheesy

Was that a Speedster or a Conv D with a removable hard top?   Easy tip off, roll up windows and a Drauz body badge.
