Since buggies have been making an appearance here, I will throw a pic of mine on here.  It was built on a '59 pan and we were told it was assembled in the mid 60's in Socal, so it kinda has a cal-look theme.  My buddy invited me to do YouTube show about us buying it off Craigslist, getting it running and attempting to drive it across Oregon.  It made for a good story.

Here is the link to the video.

Thanks!

I finally got the car home to South Dakota.

My 10 and 7 year old son's, and 2 year old daughter are super excited about it.  Last Sunday we swapped in a mystery 1500sp just to get it running and driving for the next couple months.

This winter we will pull the car apart, replace the floors, rewire it, swap in a newer trans, and build a Jim Ratto inspired 1835cc with a collection of old Treuhaft parts I have hoarded. We are going to keep the body and wheels the same, redo the seat covers in white vinyl, and make it all function correctly without changing the vintage feel. Then hopefully next season we can get it back out there to revisit the original plan.

Here are two more. The car is from Belgium I think. Looks like a European Standard Rag Top with US fenders.
I do not have shots of the interieur, but I am quiet sure that I have seen the car a few times here in the forum...

Is it bad that my first thought was about bolting slicks on too?

The sign above the VW30 states: "Collecting berries on the Wirtsberg as well as (not legible) and (not legible) is forbidden". Wirtsberg is a hill east of Stuttgart, between Schwaebisch Gmuend and Heidenheim. That's not the Gmuend which is in the state of Carinthia, Austria at which the Porsche crew hand-built the first ca. 50 356 after WW2.

That's kurt van perre (67 standart ragtop) from the Flatlinelowriders.
Search for "kurt" here and there will pop some more pic's up.

Riverside International Raceway- Same town as Econo Motors. The overhead bridge is seen when Herbie the Love Bug is goaded by Tennessee "Now, Herbie, NOW!" to catch Thorndyke in the E-type Jag coupe.
