Finally decided to get around to putting a few more up from the past month or so, since my car is now under a cover in my mom's garage awaiting some rust repair and a built tranny.

The last night of bracket racing for the year was a damn good one, nothing broke, we went three rounds, and I broke out of a 14.9 dial, going slow on the 60 foot since it was about 40 degrees that night and I had NO traction to speak of. The weirdest part was seeing condensation coming out of the tailpipes of racecars, like, "that doesn't belong there." It was also cool as my dad was up for the first few passes that night and got to see his old car run into the 14s, as my first two eliminations were both 14.9s.

My car seems to enjoy the glory of representing ACVW street cars running into the 14s!

Then I brought it up to the town I live in currently to see if it could handle the pressure of being a true daily, and aside from some carb balance issues (and the starter falling apart!) there weren't any problems! Even got it to start up and run in 11 degree F weather! The main reason though was to drive it around on some of my favorite roads around Northern Colorado, which was absolutely perfect. It might not handle like a Porsche, but it's certainly entertaining to wind out through the crazy landscapes south and west of here!

There's a little tourist trap about 8 miles southwest of where I live that was a pretty solid spot for a little breather and some pictures.

The day before we drove back down to Denver we got a half-day at the office, so after joining the guys for lunch we took off through the same backroads, but then went up and around the big reservoir west of town called Horsetooth Reservoir. I was hoping to get a little more of the lake in shot, but it's the time of year for the lake to start going down so I had to take what I could get.

Anyways, thanks for putting up with my rambling! I miss the hell out of my car and can't wait to move into somewhere with a proper garage so I can keep it nearby!

As long as it's being replaced by something bigger, right?

Thanks! Being that my car's lowered, it's not likely to get to the really good parts of the state, but I do what I can. I'm hoping to get it out more next summer, maybe up some of the canyons to learn how to fly fish. If you're back here anytime soon let me know, I'd be more than happy to meet up with a fellow Lounger!

Love it, everything is spot on from these two pictures. What does the motor have in store?

Thanks!!! At the moment it's got a 36hp engine with twin Solex 28PCI, Abarth Exhaust and increased compression ratio (that's been loaned to me).
I'm building a supercharged 36hp with a load of Speedwell goodies and stroker crank.

Hi Neil, , these were the wheels I got from you, they came out real nice.
I also have another set which will be finished in gold, let’s hope they don’t take so long to complete.
And also the sprintstars, so lots of wheel choice.
It will be on the road as soon as the weather improves........ I hope.

I wondered if they were! They did come out well. Good to see them finally getting some use.

Hi Johnny, here’s a picture of the dash, I have tried to get as many NOS Empi goodies as I could, the rest were the best I could find. I also have a selection of two other steering wheels to play with a boxed GTV wheel and another as fitted but will be painted black. Exterior wise it has Empi bumper guards and various brightwork. Also has the scoops formed into the engine lid and working metal side scoops, these were the excellent work of Donald Harvey DTH.

Thanks Johnny, glad you like it, couple of pictures of the heads. I bought these a few years ago from an ad on the Samba, when i cleaned them up i found the writing on them.
Looks like they belonged to DynoDon at some stage. Be interested to know more if anyone has info.

Hi Steve,
Not dyno,d yet.
Hoping to finish off some small jobs and check over before MOT.
I am working away so only have a short time back in the U.K. in the middle of March.
If I don’t manage to get the work done it will have to wait until I am back in the country again which is the end of May.
If only I could afford to give up work......
I will post up when it’s done.
Cheers
