So... you can't drive a car and use a cell/mobile phone at the same time (in California), but you can take photos and drive?

Ran across this the other day in a box of old pics.  I figure it was taken around 1969 at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton right after I got out of the Army.  My camera of choice was a Kodac Instamatic Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

Thanks Nico!  Yeah, the backs were Ansen Sprints, the fronts were American five spokes all with Chevy adapters.  I pulled the Americans off later on in favor of some narrowed (3 1/2" wide) Porsche steel rims with 125/15 Pirelli's that I painted gold...then the Ansens got painted a few different colors (dark grey followed by gold) before  they were yanked in favor of a pair of Porsche chromies.  Back then, it was a change a week it seemed...mostly done with a spray can Roll Eyes Grin

got a story about those.

i bought my 66 fastback and never ever had driven an oldtimer before. so i settle the payment and screwed on my plates and took off. i had to take a small part off the highway and when i was on there it started to rain, real bad. so i get off because there were no wipers on the car. but i couldn't brake. if i pushed the pedal the car would even go faster and dead dtraight, so i brake all i can while i drive under a brigde, otherwise i would have looked at the scenery real close, and drive all the way home in a really slow pace. rightaway i took off the 125 michelins that are used on a 2VC citroën and that is also the reason i don't run the goodlooking 145's but the more wider 165/65/15's.

I swear... that's gotta be the best all-time Cal Look picture EVER. The fact that it's Sarge and Sharon, the era, the car, and the fact that Sarge & Sharon are still together and they still own a great Volkswagen.

Two thumbs up.
