Is there any info out there on this 67? I don't have any AIRMIGHTY issues to look at... This was taken at VW Bug Show in Spa, Belgium.

STRDRGN on the plate?

There's a lot of things I like about this car. One thing about T-bars that always bugged me was that they do not flow with the angle of the fenders. These do.. and I think it looks great. The Wide O's are cool, the QP's tuck perfectly, the stance, color, etc... I'm not a huge fan of the narrow beam though.

I know Art Gutierrez from the DKP used to display that plate on the rear of his metallic green 67 so dont know whether this car has any links to Arts car.

It looks like #415 Sepia Brown.

That's the color of John Stafford's '69 (February '81 HVWs)
Joe Shoeningh (owns Europro in Costa Mesa) had a '69 that was also brown (February '80 HVWs) but it's not Sepia. It's darker.
Marc Tousignant (Kymco Motorsports early-mid '90s) still has the '63 his grandfather bought new. He did it Sepia on polished Empi fives.

To me that's a great later (late '70s, early '80s) Cal Look color. It looks even better without trim on the car.

Looks more like Porsche Olive Green to me.

It's tough to tell by the lighting and manipulation done to the photos. In the mid-day outdoor shots it looks Sepia but in the garage shots it definitely looks like Olive. The interior shot looks really olive too but that could be a function of light temperature. During the daytime the color temperature is about 5,600 Kelvin (almost blue) but during the golden hour the color temperature drops to 3,500K. That renders everything very yellow, hence early twilight shots look very 'golden'.

Either way those colors look like baby shit and I mean that in an endearing way. I love those colors.

Yourīre right itīs hard to tell from the manipulated photos, my guess came from the first one posted by Critter. Maybe someone can enlight us  Wink

Really nice car, the beam is a little to narrow for my taste, but the rest is perfect!

Well if you can't dazzle them with brilliance then just baffle them with bullshit!

If I REALLY wanted to get pedantic I'd say that an 80C or D filter would bring the color temperature back up.  Tongue

Weren't you just complaining to me about kerning and leading the other day? Isn't there some font with overlapping serifs that you can pick on?  Grin
