EIS has several deck lids to chose from I know the early on is out of the picture, but since I already painted this license plate light housing would the 55-56 work or the later lid 56-57.
I was hoping for the 55-56 because its 200.00 bucks less,  a couple tire!

As noted, it appears your license plate light is for a later car. If you cannot locate a good used one, I believe WolfsburgWest sells a decent repop, along with all lens, socket and everything you'll need to mount it.
