Easter festival of power coverage
«
on:

A few brave people out testing today, track doesnt look to bad considering all the bad weather and the new surface, looks like the track crew did a real good job of making it good enough & it should get better as more cars go down the new surface,

it doesn't look too warm - I'll be up there sunday/monday weather permitting, I only live 5 mins away so if it gets too cold, we can bugger off home and warm up

It is weird seeing them stop racing for snow, then be running again shortly after, but track still looks good,be interesting to see if any Pro mods,Fuel & methanol funny cars or dragsters can get down without taking ewverything out of it,
cheers richie

The image/video/view is great btw! Never seen such a clear webcam on such a wide screen before.
Would be nice to have for VW events at Santa Pod as well

Just saw a black fastback doing 11.3 and Richard Merriman from VWDRC doing a run. (Richard had some problems or so it looked like on this run).

Wish we had internet in the camper, would have saved being out in the bitter cold watching LOL.
Track was good considering, 1st pair out ran 8's so shows there was traction and many teams were running PB's or breaking out. The surface is super smooth, just needs a bit more racing to take place to bring it up to speed as well as temps above freezing!
I suffered from wheel spin on every run despite dialing down to launch at 3600 rpm. Still not that fussed as its the first time racing since rebuilding the car, had a couple of issues (missed gear, dead plug and spin and various runs) but starting to get there.

it all looked good. But I didn't make it. Watched it all on the TV at home.
Rich, you need a "3" dongle and you'd have super broadband in the Camper.
The "Real" coverage is on Youtube if you search for VWDRC TV.
