Any advice from people who have done this before would be great..

Looking into a new magnesium crankcase for a 2332 build, I want the lifter bores silicone bronze bushed. We will be running a JPM cam and lifters. As the bores need to be honed to the lifters I am looking for a reputable machine shop who can do the work in the uk if possible.

Cheers,

John.

Could this work be done by a standard machine shop (with guidance)
or is it really a job best left to an engine/Vw specialist ?

You have a very nice webpage, John.  I might consider you to make my bare T. Pieper billet heads to complete.
