Shortly in English - Northern VW Season Finale 2013

The Northern Section of Finnish Volkswagen Association arranges annual VW Season Finale. Location varies and this year we will gather at the top of Iso-Syöte, which is the southernmost fell in Finland. Event is held in the last weekend of August: 23.-25.8.2013.

Friday doesn´t have much official program, but Saturday is full of activities. Event is something for the whole family: We have different games and competitions during the day. Such as VW skill driving course, VW-part identifying contest, tug of war, volleyball and other traditional Finnish games. There are special activities also for children, like toy car Drag racing, fingerpainting etc. During the day everyone get to vote for their favorite cars in people´s choice. And of course there will be sauna available before the prize ceremony where best cars and people are rewarded. After the ceremony there will be live music available and many will sit around the campfires to the break of dawn chatting about the VWs and past events.

Yes, if you have ever thought of visiting Northern Finland, end of August would be a good opportunity. Especially if you are into Volkswagens.
There is plenty of things to see besides the VW event and drag racing on the weekend. Therefore visitors with longer distance might want to consider staying for longer period. Maybe you want to go fishing, canoeing, hiking, mountainbiking, wallclimbing, longboarding, quadriding or whatever.... All this in the Syöte area. But plenty of places to visit elsewhere too if you have more time to spend.
