No, no I'm much further North than Richie, and if I was sent to make the tea, I'd eat all the biscuits whilst I was doing it Smiley

Right then whilst I'm currently slurping on Berliner Pilsner and Gluhwein, whilst shovelling bratwurst down my neck at an indecent rate, work continues in my absence. As shown in the pics below. The problem with all this, is that when i get back it's back to me to bolt it back together and not chip and mark the paint.  Shocked

Anyway enjoy the pics, i'm off to see more Christmas markets  Grin

What a lovely dark green

Until it gets outside, then it's a lovely light green  Grin

Thanks Hanz....It's average  Wink

Richie...running? not yet lol, and please don't take the engine back no matter how tempting a bigger crank and cam is, i have to get this finished  Grin

Thanks Kaferboy, comments like yours keep me motivated.

So onto today:

Today was time to get myself calmed down after a stressful night. So into the car and off to DTH, to get some bolting done. A few hours later the windows are in, the doors are fitted, along with the seals (I'm not a fan of seal fitting  ) Then the deck lid went on and before I knew it, it was home time. A pretty damn good way to de-stress.

Oh and I got a close look at my engine, a few things to change, but progressing in the right direction Smiley

Thanks guys....Well a small update....before Christmas DTH knocked up this number plate bracket, which is just the right size for both US and Uk plates. A blast of black paint and that will be sorted.

Then on Christmas day another little surprise as my head unit pitched up from Tadpole Radios. For me I think it's a nicer look that the Retrosounds units as it doesn't have a digital display, plus is a period piece...ish Smiley. So couple of speakers under the rear seat and we are away. Though I have a feeling the twin 48's will over power it

Ok last update for work from my own hand for a while, as it's back to work this week.

A quick trip to DTH and on with the trim, door handles etc, and start to put the gauges in. Also the deck lid seal.

Hopefully Feb should give a few more updates Smiley

Once again work calls for another month, but DTH and Jerry keep on going. Jerrys getting the remaining pieces into paint, and DTH is working his magic on a few more bits.

Thanks guys and catch you in Feb.

Right then big update, body colour all finished by Jerry at Deadline Paint...awesome job I'm sure you'll agree Smiley. Wings, Bonnet, Side windows fitted by DTH and I bet Jerry popped through to help Smiley, and then a number plate bracket made up, so I can chop and change between USA and Brit style plates. Anyway enough of my chat, best you see the pics Cheesy

Not a bad workshop. Ex-DKP '67, a gorgeous '66 and some fat blokes green '67
