Thanks 56Blitz  Smiley

The guys at DTH and Deadline Paint got the engine in..how much work Jerry did in this process I'm not sure...but he takes a mean picture Cheesy.

You will notice from the pics the Flat Four valve covers didn't make it, too fat....like the owner. Sad

Anyway pic time and in two weeks it's home time for me, and if I get it all sorted it should be in my garage..maybe ish, kind of, and I can tinker to my hearts content to get it finished

and lets look through the DTH-Pac window today

Well work is over for another month, and as I have to drive past DTH and Deadline to get home, (ok a little detour, but the wife didn't mind) it would have been rude not to drop in.

So here we have the tinware Jerry painted and sent pics from the other night, and DTH in the process of fitting them.

The bugs life at DTH is coming to an end and come tuesday it'll be back into my garage and I can start on the fuel system and come the 21st, putting the wiring loom in.

and a cheeky freshly painted number plate mount

Rob

Looking excellent, very impressed, cant wait to see it in the flesh "so to speak"

One point to note..... be careful with thoses front tyres/ride hide because my sons car looked the same until the first pot hole then both wings needed repainted as the edges got squashed, we ended up putting a narrower beam on to avoid and further problems..

good luck

Thanks Russell, will keep an eye on front end, DTH has adjusted the camber hopefully that will be enough if not.... Shocked

Well the final bits of the bug DTH was completing...have been done. Tuesday is D day and it's coming home, can't wait to finish it off.

Right then the last couple of days have been fun, a quick visit to DTH to fit the rear popouts before it was moved, and also ended up fitting a the bonnet lock, handle etc. A few adjustments are needed as the bonnet is now locked shut Shocked

Anyway, a few other bits a pieces were done, horn grills fitted, badge, washer bottle etc. Then it was home time.

So i left it looking like this:

Then it was home time and create space in the garage.

This morning I was up stupidly early for a day off, and after pacing around the following happened.

So the garage is looking rather full and I have a pile of work to complete in the next 3 weeks....can't wait

DTH......You soft sod  Grin

Thanks 56Blitz, slowly getting there

Now that the project is in my garage progress isn't quite as fast, but I'm having fun Cheesy. Wiring for the MSD system is ongoing, and the rear fuel system is done. Tomorrow when the deliveries arrive, it's onto the front end and hopefully all the fuel system will be plumbed in. The loom should be here at the end of the week and it's onto that bundle of fun Sad:lol:.

I really love making hoses....it's just like work...just a bit smaller Cheesy

Thanks CallookPastel and Wolfswest, much appreciated.

Well soon be time to head back to work, been quite a successful time off, the car is back in my garage and I'm chuffed to bits with it.

So I had to do some work on it, started on the fuel system, and a few other bits. Wiring next time I'm home, hopefully the interior and finishing things up, steering geometry, brakes bled etc and then fire her up.

Anyway have some pics:

Thanks Stripped66, Hanz this month at home it will be fired up  Grin

Another month at work nailed, so headed home today with the goal of finishing this off.

When I was away there was a few things going on, a few parts bought and the interior in progress. However only one pic surfaced from the guys in Tilli, which gave little away, but it did show Scot hard at work.

So I arranged to drop in on the way home from the airport, and picked up the front seats and a few bits from Deadline that had been painted.

The seats look great in my opinion, they can live in the kitchen until I get the wiring and carpet fitted.

Meanwhile at home the loom was waiting, along with a few other bits to be fitted, first I need to sleep, as I've just struggled to spell "first"  Sad

Typically just as i get home new photos surface..i swear it's a conspiracy too keep my in the dark  Grin. Pics from start to finish of the front seats

hi Rob, are the headlights bolt on to the tabs on the original fender?  the original headlights that came with the car still salvageable?

Hi Pupjoint, they were that type that screwed into tabs, unfortunately they were binned about a year ago, and replaced with these Hella ones.

Thanks Larry.
