In a feckless effort to save funds to build my transmission & engine... swilling more cheap light bier from El Salvador. Man, this takes will power. But dark bier is so dang expensive.

I haven't had much money for good beer lately so I'm doing the non alcoholic thing. Tonight I'm drinking Mountain Dew Throwback. This might not be big deal outside the US, but most Soda makers switched from cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup years ago. Boy what a difference real sugar makes.

Tonight, it's my budget dark cerveza till I can afford some real SAE 90wt. gear oil. In the meantime, this shall do rather nicely. A great way to cap off a night of skateboarding a 12' pool.

Recycled pee water. You just described every mainstream (pun intent) American "beer". Which, of course, is nowhere near worthy of being referred to as such. The only U.S. biers worth tasting are the smaller companies that actually use real ingredients and know how to properly brew.
Okay, rant mode status: off.
Carry on.

Yet another outstanding beer from Lagunitas -Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale 7.7%. The packaging did not specify what kind of ale it was so bought it knowing Lagunitas only makes phenomenal beers. I got it home and drained 3 before I got on the interweb and found out it is a wheat ale (aka Hefeweisen)with a shitttttt load of hops added. I usually only drink Hefe's if that is all that's left but this one is very different. Very floral, lot's of piney, citrusy notes, slightly sweet, bready and lot's of hops. I may have to polish off the rest. Another A+ for Lagunitas Brewing.
