I worked with Jim at Unique Supply in Redlands. I used to pick his brain about various Cal-Look and EMPI tidbits (I learned a lot), so when I asked about BRMs and the Type 3, he pulled that picture that Bill is talking about out of his wallet. If I recall correctly, the Squareback was white. I inquired about the extra weight of the Type 3 and cracking of the BRMs. He said that he didn't run that combo for very long and didn't have any problems. Of course, as anyone who knows Jim, he was always careful about his BRMs, so he probably didn't push it too hard with that car.
