Aeroflow hose and fittings
«

Have anybody tried Australian Aeroflow hoses and fittings? These seem to a bit cheaper than Goodridge 811 teflonhoses and fittings, which costs around 115€ / meter at merlinmotorsport.co.uk, cheapest is $22 / foot at USA. As far as i know, even some Australian top fuel drivers use Aeroflow hose
I am going to route drysump hoses, front oilcooler etc. About 8,5 meters hose needed.

Be lucky, there was an alarming amount of 'snide' aeroquip' hose around a couple of years ago, it cost a big name racer big money with a blown engine and a huge fire with all the damage fron the fire extinguisher system also, not even once, but twice before it was proven to be rubbish hosing. i would buy my engine's juggular from a supplier i could face with if things go wrong, it amazes me were folk try to save money, buy the best near home.

Alex, they look promising due to the fact they are able to flow their hose size. You can also take a look at Rudy`s blog and Speedflow fittings:

I could get with the TF-1 case from Todd quite cheaply the goodridge 811 hose, AN10 has 45mm bending radius.

This makes me thingking goodridge hoses instead of aeroflow. It is expensive hose, but i can get it almost half price from usa compared to merlinmotorsport prices.

Don't know if they are cheap but Fay is a racer, and will stand by her parts. Shame she moved from my neighbourhood.

I had a fuel pressure regulator go bad a while back. Pressure went up to around 120psi.
Not a hint of leak anywhere from my goodridge/aeroquip fittings.
I know this is below burst pressure but I sometimes wonder if a cheaper or no name fitting would have held up.
A mate uses torques fittings, I find them uncomfortably light. Plus I've seen a couple with thread barbs/remains inside.
Check any fitting (thread and mating face) new or used would be my advice.
Personally, I'd only trust established makes

Modern turbo cars are running such high fuel/ boost pressures, many with sequential or direct injection , so short is the squirt time, the pressure is astronomical in the fuel system just to get the required amount of fuel in, in the time available, probably THE biggest requirement for a top grade hose system. this maybe why we see so many engine bay fires in racing now, certainly expensive on board fire systems are useless....

What size would be adequate? Obviously the fitting is the restrictive part.
AN6 hose for fuelinjected under 300hp?
AN10 drysump?
