Their music was great and certainly fit the times.  Levon was also a very accomplished actor that I enjoyed.  To quote Bob Dylan, "The times, they are a changin" and we continue to loose people from the era that were influential of our youth.

Losing Levon Helm was a tough one for me. This piece is real good, though; put things in a pretty good perspective.

We saw Glen Hansard at the Vic in Chicago last week, and both his band and the opening act all got up there and played (well, mostly sang) "The night they drove old dixie down", as a tribute.  It was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.   Smiley

yep, he was one of my guitar heroes!  Sad  Today all my Ten Years After CDs are running on repeat! It will take a LONG LONG time before he is forgotten!!! R.I.P.
