Great VW article in the August issue, even use a pic of DDD4 and Volksmans bug Smiley
Guess it might piss off the V8 readers who think of bugs as slow!!!!!!
Stephan, was the article commissioned or did you just submit it? Good work either way  Smiley

After Hod Rod's publishing of Stephan's nice article in August, it prompted me to take out a subscription to the magazine.  The October issue showed in the mail last night and in the letters to the editor section, the letter of the month was from a guy that was "Blown Away" at seeing VW's in Hot Rod (he thought it was very cool!).  The editor wrote to say that they expecfted a flood of hate mail, but surpisingly the vast majority was positive!  Also, a nice pic (small) of Patrick Friel's '56 with the front wheels up.  Ya never know... Cool Cool Cool

Hey Mike, there were letters in the September issue, too.  You might want to consider a subscription...two years for $18.00 which is a real bargain compared to the king's ransom we have to spend to get those high priced European VW mags  Grin Grin Wink  Who knows, maybe they might have some more VW's in the future, right??

I think I have the September issue...gotta re-check it.  I was thinking about a new subscription, but my neighbor has a sub, and passes them on to me after he's done.

I had a subscription to HOT ROD for many years, until I went away to college, I think.  Grew up on it, really.  I have to say, picking it up again after about 10 years or more, I am not disappointed.  Thankfully they haven't gotten stupid!

I stand corrected...no letters in the September issue.  There was a nice editorial by the Editor-in-Cheif David Freiburger though.  The guy is a VW man at heart it seems... Cool

I'll definetly have to look that up.  I love to read about all the projects he has.  I thought I had some crazy ideas!
