looks the bollox though.
Perhaps they should now fit supercharger and turbo, best of both worlds.

It does, but for me packaging is proberly the biggest problem, that set up would only really work in a front engine application

I kept looking at the gold case and thinking I am sure I recognise it, but couldn't think where from, now I know

Interesting!
Surely a crank driven turbo induction system wouldn't use as much energy as a supercharger?
The working of a supercharger are far heavier in weight than a turbo fan.
Looking at the picture of there system it only uses an intake fan so that should reduce the energy required and make boost instantly.
Not sure about how fast it will spin compared to a normal turbo. Maybe its a geared set up?

Procharger uses normal gearing, rotrex uses planetary gears to multiply rpm's. Thus the boost rises with rpm's which can be problematic as normal turbo's usually reach their max boost somewhere in the middle of the rpm's. Surely stupid idea: how about to use reversed variator from scooter to drive procharger?

You guys have it pegged. We talked to the the guy yesterday at AJ Sims. It's a Procharger that's run off the nose of the crank through a gearbox.

As above, there's nothing new exciting me, the earliest ever engines had turbos designed in from day one, they failed material wise, compounded turbos, muted next year in F1, were done in the 40's. Turbo+ superchargers are old hat, the VW Polo is on that just now, about all we have is better control from electronics, and better and newer materials.
