This is the situation I'm in; all my VW books, Volksworlds, Hot Vw's; even my '63 Notchback, have gone ready for my move from the UK to New Zealand.  Lots to look forward to, but many late nights sorting and packing to come yet.

Does anyone have a good 'computer desktop' size pic of Bill's car that I can put on my pc to brighten my day until my move on the 18th August? (and importantly until I finish work on the 14th!)

Many thanks;
Richard

I never noticed that Bill S.'s car had an engine turned firewall cover. That looks slick.

The black painted BRMs in the top pic are genuine Mg.  The grey ones were not.  Bill has 2 sets of wheels/tires.  The grey FF BRMs are gone now, replaced with other FF wheels.  The real BRMs will always be with Bill.

Sarge, please try the scan in the second photo again. It looks cool!
It looks like this one:

P.s. is that Doug Mische in front of Bill's ride?

Thanks guys!  I cannot even remember where that photo was taken wtih the Empis,  I liked it w/ those . Nao @ Flat 4 really liked the Empi's so I sold them to him. Ironically the trans. broke the same weekend & I needed a new 5 spd r&p and a few other things so that was the end of the money. This Sept. I will have had that car for 18yrs.  seems like yesterday.  Bill

First time I saw it in person was at one of (If not the) last show at Famoso near Bakersfield. I`d already seen it in the magazine nut it cool to park next to Bill there. I had a total 80`s resto 2 tone oval ragtop then. It was aqua and white with chromies, white mudflaps, breezies, D emblem... anyway you get the idea. I have`nt been the same since then.
