That was a very nice event. i was there last time 21 years ago . it is getting huge but needs some more beetles . Anyone have pictures ??

Great job from our European guests...Congratulations to Thomas for the win and to Udo on the great times.....shame we couldn't have given you guys abit more competition....next year maybe!? A pretty good event given it's 'history'....I shall go again.... Loads of track time available on fri and sat for rwyb and good pit space, good surface and friendly track staff.....the sun was abit bloody hot tho'  More pictures to follow..... Ian |

And some more......
Pete drove it there....slicks and all tools etc onboard...ran mid 11's all weekend.....then drove it home!!!
He wanted the occasional push in the 'fire up lane' tho'
All we did was mess about with tyre pressures and 'launch procedures'.......here he is 'wheels up' with a dry hop 'tyre clean'
Best sounding car on the track all weekend!! Video to follow....

Congrads to Joe G in his Type 34...PB with that combo on his first run of the weekend and beat Pete every time out! Even when we waited for him and his seven man crew with the battery pack to restart  There was no catching UDO tho' but he did his best time trying.....the beauty of heads up! James Wotton was struggling with the 'eyes bigger than the belly' in the turbo department!!  Still ran lots of 10's tho' with so much more to come.... |

Great pictures and great weekend. I am pleased we found the 'problem' with my car- just goes to show that I should read instructions now and again........
Interesting to see the amount of squat on the rear of my car- we might try and tighten up the back a little bit and adjust the wheelie bars next time out ;-)
Hope to be at VW Action for some more fun :-)

Passed you on Friday morning on the M25 - you were heading north around the heathrow area & I was heading south - about 7.00 - 7.30 Am, I had been on the road since 4.45 and seeing you gave me a huge grin Car looked great - pretty hardcore weekend to drive up to the pod and back - Well done |
