Cal Look Oval

The time has come for me and my beloved to part company......

'56 Oval with 2276cc, IDA'd motor

Engine originally built by Cal Performance using a new AS41 case, CB 82mm crank and billet ground cam.
After a few untroubled seasons in the car, the engine was stripped for a refresh by John Walklett.
John upped the compression to 10.5:1, installed an Engle FK89 cam and CB VW650 valve springs - with 48mm IDA's squirting and MSD controlling the popping, it runs real strong.
Running a Rancho Pro Street box with road friendly gears (/89 4th), I ran a 13.6s quarter on street tyres and a 'composed' launch but confident there's more to have out of it.
Sitting on a CB -2" front beam, the Street Weight Ercos are shod with Firestone F-560 145's up front and BF Goodridge 205/70's on the rear.

The car has been trimmed by Spirit of The 50's including a mohair headliner, German Square weave carpet and tan leather trim for the door cards and Beard Super Seats.

There's too many things to be said about this car, it hasn't wanted for anything.
It was featured in Ultra VW in December '09 although has had a few improvements here and there since. The car has won a few awards along the way - including Top 15 Cal Looker at Freddy Files 2012 8-)

Looking for £14k - not looking for px, tyre kickers or photo collectors 8-)
It's been a hard decision to sell the car but it won't be given away, with a car like this, you DO get what you pay for :twisted:
