I've never been to the Pomona Swap Meet, but will be in the Orange County area for the August 11th event.  Does this swap meet typically have much in the way of VW performance or Cal-look parts?  Just wondering if it mostly caters to hot rods, Corvettes, etc, or if it's worth my while to check for VW performance or Cal-look items.

Many thanks!

Pomona has always been a great place to find the rarest of the rare there are two sections the VW and Porsche with a little American  muscle thrown in There's the Chevy and other American car crap on the other side . You just got to look really hard have a great eye and have the Patience to dig deep into someone's pile of SHiT oh and beat myself, Ed economy and Chris Morley to the good  stuff  Grin

RestoJohnny never has anything good anymore!

Get there as early as possible, there will be a line. You can usually walk away with a few goodies.
Yes, it's worth checking out.

try to get in as a vendor, during the night, just ask for a small area, take some small parts with you. Than you can strall between the stands before anyone get's in. It's not expensive and you have a sleeping spot for the night. That's how we did it.

Last time I went was a year ago. Going at a quick pace, it took me 3 hours to make it through the swap, and I didn't even touch the VW area. I thought I could find better deals on VW parts among the V8 guys...
I didn't like the fact that they charged me double for parking since I had a trailer, and the spectators aren't allowed to bring in bikes. Three hours on foot in the August sun sucks!

Thanks for all the feedback...I am definitely going to set aside a few hours for Pomona!!  When we left Canada on Saturday, it was 18-degrees, however, it's 42-degrees Celcius today in Las Vegas, so I should be acclimatized and ready for California heat!!
