i had all the spotweld drilled out, so it's still a perfect one for replacemend , only for a removable you need to fill all the hole's again, and while i had a new one.... Grin  use it....

the ragtop is grafted in now, finished the box for the extra space for the gearbox, and did some more cleaning, this upcoming week the roof will be finished and all the welding so in the next few weeks it will go to the blaster...

hey michael

color is not known yet....thoughts are  fontana grey (original color)  yukon Yellow  or a light blue, it will be a last minute decision...one off the things i can't decide..

and hello Paul

the gearbox has been at home at the momnet it is at Steve's vw shop to make the support's he is making a beautifull alu support, what will be done in a few weeks...and pic's will follow when it is on the chassis , yours will be in sooner i think

and for the rocket man....can't waith also at the moment the finish date is set at the end of next year  Sad  it's a balance between time money and work , i want to do it all the way....

try these carb windows, I'm putting some in over the winter.

You will need them, unless you've got the hands of a 10 year old boy you wont be able to get number 3 plug in and out without taking off the carbs

Regards Ron

i think i will take that advise from you ron...i have big hands  Grin
when the gearbox is on the floor i will lift the body over it to correct the panels in the engine room, the engine will be 1 cm out off the middle due to the 091 gearbox, so i have to do some more work...
and this would also be a plus...
