I have the Link-Pin blues. HELP!

I am assembling this link-pin front end on the stand and I am ready to install the steering gear box. I am wondering how do I find the correct angle for the steering box. The beam has two protrusions to locate the box side to side, but there is nothing else on the tube to set the angle.

My ball-joint beam has protrusions that engage with the clamp to set the box angle for Beetles or the clamp would be flipped over to set the angle for use in a Ghia, but my link-pin beam has nothing like it and the clamp does not have the notches either. how do I set the angle? Do I need to wait until I put the body back on the pan and align the box using the steering column, or is there some other way to do it?

Hmmmm, no one answered this yet? Wait and set the box position after the front end is installed and body on. Then just line it up with the steering column and not rubbing on the column tube. Think about it.....If you were to add caster shims, they would change the angle of the front end and the steering box would have to be rotated more to realign with the steering column so it makes sense to wait so you can account for all the possible variables.

Thanks Marc,
You are correct! I forgot about the caster shims. They change the angle by a couple degrees or so. And it would be good to have the steering shaft centered in the column tube.
