So does the 400ml of oil that wont be wasted in the galleys you blocked off weigh more or less than the plugs you installed? I know you have got ot have thought about it

I use Superclean caustic mag wheel cleaner and scotchbrite, same thing, lots of cleaning, then coat liberally with Gibbs brand penetrant. It seems to hold up pretty good.

Are you using an external cooler or is your car not to be a street car anymore?

Following that line of thought the oil standing in the "return" line from the stock oil cooler could be used to measure the oil pressure midway down the oil galley. This would make oil usefull, and it would eliminate the thingy on the fullflow line you are planning to use. Some would even say its a more relevant place to do the measuring.
