Looking good, are you still using spray cans for the paint? I've some touching up to do on my own bug and was considering having some cans made up to match

This time I used a paint roller for this special paint, which is robust and protective. The shop mixed my colour for this product, Brantho Korrux 3in1. But I also made quite some good experiences with mixed spray cans, depends of course on where you buy them.

Removing the hood sealing clamp which always traps water and rust occurs:

Using phosphoric acid to remove the pore rust, works perfect if sand blasting cannot be used without creating a mess everywhere:

I will again install a hood sealing, however the one from mexican bugs which is attached to the hood and has no rust traps:

It also works well for keeping surfaces protected for a while once the rust has been treated, this front end has been left for 3 months while I do other bits under the bonnet. As shown by my little bloke playing rodeo........

Thanks Stevo, took me plenty of hours to get to this point. However quite satisfying in the end heat shield to keep the part cool, and ready to be assembled. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
