Hi everyone,

long time ago since my last post back in 2017, a lot of things happened in the meantime, so no real time for posting anything:
met my wife, got married, two kids were born but unfortunately also the cancer diagnosis and following treatment of my wife while on top of it I lost my job… that’s also part of life (all good now, fingers crossed)

So I will try to summarize what was going on with my bug and share some info

Wasn’t really satisfied with the quality of the paint job, had orange peel all over the hood. The paint wasn’t thin enough to run properly. So grinded all down once again on the outside and repainted it..

I had red aluminum chips in my oil sump so was trying to understand where this could come from.
Checked the valve train, and the push rods were rubbing against the tubes

So I tried a lot of different combinations of supporting the rocker shaft with shims and different rod length until I got the best compromise out of rocker geometry and safety distance to the push rod tubes, worked out well in the end
