Squirrel Fans

Hi guys where the best place to buy Squirrel Fans or is there a easy way of making some. As i have not really look at any close up before.

There are two ways to do them you can cut them and the Dual port head tin up and weld or rivet the fans to the Tin or you can mount them inside the car on the firewall adding a 2 inch neck and welding a plate across the head tin with a 2 inch neck then use duct hose to go from the firewall to the head tin I ran Fans on my street car I installed two collars on the back of the fan shroud with the fans mounted inside on the firewall with a short hose going from the fan to the back of the housing that way  you can race with the belt off and use the fans, only one draw back with this set up you have to cap the fans off inside the car when your not using them otherwise you lose some of the cooling from your stock fan shroud it is easy to cap them off I made two 4 inch  Round Metal plate's  with velcro just stick them on when there not in use..

If you were using them with a fan shroud with them mounted on the inside firewall you need to use the  covers I talked about above so the air from the fan shrould  dose not  blow in when the fan are not being used..

LOL Sounds like you Live In Texas?  Since I moved here from Calif it has Rained about three times a week and Snowed five times? and everyone Told me Its HOT in Texas LOL I wish The SUN Would Stay Out LOL I built a Big Air Conditioned Shop to Build my Cars in And I Think I am going to Need the Heater Instead..   Hope the INFO. helped Thanks Shubee

The ones that came with The Sting were Dayton fans. You can still get them from http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/dayton_blower.htm but I got some new ones from Mr Taylor that were surplus (note to self - must give Martin the money for them!!   )
