Allways we have discusses of the weather which is changing all the time on driving season. We are tired for waiting the summer and possible sunny days. In Finland the real race season is possible between may-august on some weekends. So not much time for testing.
Now it does not matter anymore: we can drive 60ft inside on asfalt on rainy or sunny or snowy days...
Let see what will happen. Grin

There's already big ski tunnels and inside snow parks for those who want to ski in summer - we should gather a movement (with added moustaches) to convert ski tunnels to drag race tunnels when there's snow outside! Drag race mocember anyone?

Brilliant, not a new idea though and I'm sure health and safety would have something to say. I would love a place that guarntees you can get a run in. They did it in the states in 1962 http://www.streetlegaltv.com/news/indoor-drag-racing-at-the-62-southside-winternationals/

Not sure top fuel would work indoors though- in the case of a blow over they may get stuck in the rafters  Cheesy

I bet the noise in there was EPIC!   We have all wound down our windows and changed down gear when going through a long tunnel on the road, this would just have been brilliant.  But unsafe for sure...

Santa Pod need a Wembley style motorized cover.  That would do it.   But then you would exit the covered area into the wet run off at massive speeds.
I guess Rain will always ruin drag racing...

We have indoor tractorpulling here in the Netherlands. But you will need quite a long building for dragracing.

The sound is EPIC though!

I did that in Atlanta around 1985...never again.
The fumes are not fun more than a minute and then it is just pure pain.
I know thousands of people on the grandstands think different but they are busy drinking Coke, eating massive amounts of pop corn, hot dogs and smoking pot.

Partly burned methanol is also very carsinogenic, you shouldn't hang around for too long
at the pits without a proper respirator or a gasmask when they warm up methanol engines.
