Like I say, possible – not definite.

Over the last 25–30 years, I have collected a large quantity of memorabilia which for the most part just sits gathering dust, or is tucked away in drawers, filing cabinets or on the shelf. I rarely refer to it these days, to be honest, and maybe it's time for another collector to benefit from my years of pre-Internet searching.

The collection includes (and this is just a very general list):
VW dealer material (lots of it), including parts manuals for Type 1, 2, 3, 4 181 etc, workshop manuals for the same, plus workshop bulletins, dealer promotional files, accessory lists etc dating back to the 1960s, or beyond) – and far more. All in the original blue files or, in the case of the earliest parts list, hardback cover.
Catalogues for many, many US and European performance companies including (but not restricted to) EMPI, DDS, Autohaus, Crown, Scat, Okrasa, Autocavan, etc etc etc. Lots of this.
Hundreds of period magazines, covering drag racing, buggies – you name it. Lots of unusual non-VW publications with stories of VW tuning, racing etc. Also Hot Rod, Car Craft, Road & Track etc with period VW material. Plus the usual VW Trends etc
Many period decals, including original EMPI, Head Shop, Truehaft, DDS, you name it...
A fantastic, possibly unique (certainly in Europe), selection of old rally dash plaques from SoCal VW rallies dating back to the late 1960s. You've heard of the famous old rallies, well, here are the plaques. You will NEVER find these again.
Some VW dealer magazines (Weathervane etc)
Box full of VW manuals and books – Clymer, etc. I used to buy every one I could see at Pomona...!
Dozens of other books and magazines with VW performance or history content.
Lots of interesting paperwork, letters etc.
Silver presentation plate in its box given to German dealer in the 1950s, ashtray etc etc.

I also have about half a dozen files, each containing around 50 brochures, covering VW performance, customising, accessories (factory and aftermarket), plus sales brochures etc for Bugs, Buses, Type 3s, Ghias, Type 4s, paint charts etc etc. Some of this material you've probably seen, other stuff you probably won't have! Includes first ever US VW brochure, Okrasa, etc etc.

Trust me, there is a lot of stuff, far to much to attempt to list.

NO DKP BADGES, DECALS OR CLOTHING IS FOR SALE. NONE. ZILCH. (Just to make that clear – that goes nowhere!). There are also no photographs for sale – they remain in my archive.

Like I say, I am not certain if I want to sell but I'm trying to be realistic. Also I'd quite like to get another daily driver! I'd rather sell everything in one go to one person, who can then do what they wish. All I will say is that it won't be cheap but it will be cheaper than the cost of all those air tickets and trips to SoCal and Europe I made over the years collecting this stuff.

Serious enquiries only. Thanks.

No need of a new daily... just bought a 49K from new Audi A2 TDI. Better heater than a 2CV and almost as powerful.  Grin

I see that the comments over Keith's consideration of disposal of a major part of his collection is bringing laughable and fun comments, but there does come that time.
We ALL have a lot of cool stuff,  but at what point are we willing to admit we can't keep it forever?
What Do we do with 40+ years of rare stuff?

There are actually 41 dash plaques, a couple are missing from this photo...  Cool

Some cool club decals, too!
