I think the FIA cars up to Top Fuel came last weekend to bring some more rubber for us on the track

The track is fully paved with rubber ATLEST 100 meters out.... we are talking about PURE rubber... you can almost read "Firestone" "M&H Hoosier and MT in the rubber...
Last weekend, Stian "tekken" did a 1.36 60 ft in his turbo splitt... so the track is PRETTY good!!!
Cant wait to see what you guys can do out there!!

Unfortunately I can't be there as our holiday plans got shifted back a month so I'll miss out on what will no doubt be an awesome weekend and possibly a nice few days further South along the coast afterwards. Atleast I'm not going to be stuck in the UK whilst it's on with nothing else worthwhile to do, I'll be trackside at the other decent VW happening that weekend, Sacramento. I should think some numbers will be run at Gardermoen, hopefully this time round the weather will be on your side.

Please do, I'll bring a cigar over for you when I do make it back over in return, a good evening I would think! We'll miss being at SCC this year but we couldn't work out a way of fitting it in. I'm not sure if any other Brits are popping over, I think Russ mentioned he might want to do it at some point but then again I think Bug-In was a pretty big weekend so it may be a trip too far for 2007? I don't think people realise how easy it is to get there on the plane, OK, so you don't have the car but there's lots of good quality stuff to watch.

Please accept this post as an apoligy, i had really wanted to macke SCC this year or at the very least get the chop over there, however thinks have been mad at work and Ive just run out of time, i have two weddings that weekend (my other bis WeddingBUGS !) so will busy.

I am trying to fit in DDD5 and hope to see you there.... once again sorry if ive let anyone down or disappointed anyone.

for myself and the rest of DAS it's no SCC too this year... Brian Burrows is paying our trips to VW action so we will go for a bit of Run what you brung to set the cars up for Das Drag Day... wish i could split myself in half and go to both...

anyways, SCC has been a topic amongt the hardcore das racers for some time now, and we plan to drive up north next year with as many as possible lookers! hmmm... hehe allready looking forward to show season 2008

Hi Udo,

The gates open for the public on Saturday morning. Last year they opened the gates for the racers on Friday morning and most of the teams arrived Friday afternoon. I will be there from Thursday this year.

We have an anniversary , on the event . It is 20 years ago now since my car was racing in Germany the last time with his swedish owner. Mats Herrlander frove the car in 1987 at Hockenheim and Giebelstadt , made a bet et of 11,8 . this was something unbelivable for me at this time. Now 20 years later the car comes back to skandinavia and races at a scandinavian event !!  , I think it is a good year to come over with the car
