■EUROPEAN BUG-INに10台のVWで参加したスペシャルVWオーナー!! EUROPEAN BUG-INのまた続きです。
以前イギリスの個人で凄い人が居て～、それは又の機会に！！としましたが 今日はその凄い人を紹介します！！



その凄い人Russell Richie(写真右)とは、イギリスでVWショップを営む訳でもなく、本当に趣味で熱く成っちゃった人で、今回のEUROPEAN BUG-IN に10台ものVWを持ち込み、その内の8台をトレーラーに積んで登場です！！そのトレーラーを運転する為にRussellは教習所に通い免許を取得！！そして中古のトレーラーも購入するという勢い！！
そのトレーラーには、70年代当時にO.C.I.R.を駆け抜けたBug-InのレースカーからDKPカー、そしてU.S.で復活したBug-In 32にてMOST BEAUTIFUL VW ON EARTH（世界で最も美しいVW）と賞されたブルーのキャルルックスプリット等が積まれてました。
そんな中に詳細の判らないイエローのオーバルが1台！？そこでRussellに聞くと「それはお楽しみに！」っと意味不明！！
今日はその1台に注目です。（他のVWはまた別の日に！）
このイエローのオーバル、フロントにはブレーキを持たずスピンドルマウントのホイール、リアには8J位の極太ホイールにETのスリック。中にはロールバーが張られ、バケットタイプのドライバーシートが1つ。どうみてもドラッグ仕様！！
そんなオーバルを見たのがイベント開催前日の木曜日。そして金曜日にもう一度Russellを訪ねると、カッティングシートを駆使して製作されたレタリングとロゴがしっかり入って．．．何とEUROPEAN BUG-INのドラッグカーが誕生です！！
そしてイベントでは勿論Russellがドライブしたのですが、その内にKeith Seumeがドライブしたり、何とRon Flemmingがドライブしたり．．．そしてRussellが「次はNaoがドライブしてね～」だって！！？？
そして、Keith SeumeやRon Flemmingが「3速辺りからかなり跳ね出すから気を付けて！」．．．とアドバイス？？
取り敢えず“人の車だし、無事に終われば良いかな”と考えてステージングへ。
しかしスタートしてしまうとアクセル緩められない性格で、アドバイス？？の通り、3速にシフトアップした頃からかなり車が縦揺れを始めて、お～恐いと思っても取り敢えずアクセルペダルはフロアーにべったりです！！
結果は『11秒992』！！！Keith SeumeとRon Flemmingにも勝利！！
勿論、こんな経験をさせてくれたRussellには感謝！！感謝！！しかしこんな車を用意するなんてイカした演出！！

さて、このRussellのイエローオーバルにも使われたオフィシャルロゴの入ったグッズが続々届いています！！今日はイベント当日のみ限定販売されたダッシュプラークが届きました！このプラークは、参加した人が全員もらえたというアイテムでは無く、販売時間が予告され並ばないと買えなかったアイテムです！！
