...a beautiful rag top ghia. One of the first I recall seeing...
Bill's brother painted it raspberry, the only color he would paint it. The aluminum door panels were painted too. The car looked huge inside. Thanks for posting Worm!

It was actuallly deeeeeep black Martinez's best of show car. VERY black. The So Cal sunset made it purple-ish. Blew our minds at the time actually.
Scott , that chop top was kevin News car , car was painted by Kolor Me Kustom in La Palma and the color was midnight blue they said in the report that the color look different depending the lightning the car had abernie bergmann 1835cc with 40dcn webers hope it help tha car was in DKK??

Cool pictures this one could be a picture of my ghia in the background. Frenchy

Mirrors, 1 piece window, and width of front beam. The silver color is sweet too.
I was thinking of detailing my case like the black Ghia. Yeah right, Rainbow colors didn't have the same connotation then that they do now, hah
Glad we all enjoyed these. Wish I had more. And I find it interesting that I rarely took any pics of my OWN car, there were a LOT of sweet rides in So Cal back then.
And btw Fab's I wish I could answer all your questions about who's was who's etc.... I was in DKK not IBM...... Brain is foggy. Hah. I can say that the blue chop was not in DKK. Far as I know. The red one was. Also found two Bug in unused dash plaques from 27 and 28 in the bunch.

great pics loving this late model. just looks so damn right This picture is the definition of the cars I dreamt of as a kid. Check out how wide that front beam is, how the rear just squats enough to let you know this is no bone stock thing with rims. Look at how the sky shines in the front tire... all the way down to the rim. A tell tale of a wide rim and a narrow tire just clearing the arches, talk about stretched rubbers. No low profile mumbojumbo. And the shine in the rear tires tells the opposite tale, the shine stays in the upper part of the sidewall indicating a fat tire filling the arches just so. Hand polished fuchs shows of elbow grease and the black details gives the car the dark tones the car needs. And the arial letting everyone know, this is a real car... not made yesterday! in short, I LOVE it!

Lyle... and his girl, Delanie, I think. Super cool couple and our own built in bouncer and/or security. We NEEDED that, the way we conducted ourselves.

More... Dave McNew chilling, My blue 56 and Bob Davis's green car. Mine was freshly painted without an interior so no stickers in the windows yet. Not until it was COMPLETE. And the Deek Ghia (Dee Phillips I believe)
The blue car that Dave is using as a pillow is Scott Hall's.
