Hi people, I have just taken delivery of a DDS shifter, but I believe it is missing some parts to stop it spinning. Can anyone tell me what should be there so I can track it down?

I have the shifter with the handle, the chrome base, and the ball at the bottom with the pin that moves up and down when the reverse lock out is pushed. There is also another small pin on the ball near the pin which moves up and down - is that supposed to be there, or is it a fix to stop it spinning?

Do I need a reverse lock out plate, and a little ball that goes on the end of the shifter to seat it in the "bowl" on the shifter tube in the tunnel?

Thanks for any replies!

Si.

not mine, these are Guillueme Bendler's.  Jick ran a DDS shifter for ages without this base plate, just had to keep squaring it up every now and then.

cool, I seem to recall an old samba thread about this and Guilliume said he would produce a small batch of them. Having to re-centre them  sounds like a pain in the rear.

Now I have to get used to using it in a RHD car, I reckon I can train my little finger to operate the reverse button  Cool
