I have gone back and forth on the color....originally it was Prairie Beige (with red interior) which if it is done right can look good. I like blue/silver and Strato Silver is correct for the year, and then there is always black.....My 57 oval that Russell Ritchie now has was black and beautiful. So I guess at this moment I am not 100% settled on the color yet.

I got a 75 FI (AS21) case given to me so I sent it to Rimco/FAT and had the machine work done, open for 90.5's, align bore, clearance for stroker, tap oil galleries, full flow, etc.

old Berg shifter, just like the one in my black oval. sent it off to Berg to get a new cable and serviced so it will be ready.

no pictures but an update. The guy doing the metal work stalled out on me so I have moved the car to someone else this last weekend. He has done some high end work for my friend on his boss 429 and other projects. I have given him the go ahead so body and paint should be done in January! I am so looking forward to start assembling the car. hopefully pics soon of the progress.

Thanks Frenchy,
My son went by to pick the fenders up from the body shop to get them blasted and they had already started the bodywork so that's a good sign! All four fenders (front bullet) ,hood, and deck lid are original to the car which is nice. I am going to gather all the parts that need to be painted with the car and deliver them next week while I am on vacation, taillight housings, glove box door, ash tray, etc.. I found a set of autocraft 1:4 rockers for a good deal and got those this week. It's like the Johnny Cash song, one piece at a time......

yes it was worth the wait, The first guy took forever and I had to move it to another person because he didn't finish anything. the second guy did most of the metal and body work, and paint and got it all done in 4 months. It was definitely worth it in the long run. really looking forward to putting it back together.
