Nope! try again... Whatever car it is, it'll be good to see you back in a VW again, bought or built - it doesn't matter. Trim or, shaved like a porn star - it doesn't matter. As for keeping it for years - who gives a toss? I've had mine for years, so has Bill, Dave Mason, Hector Bonilla, Dave Rhoads and numerous others. Then you've got Arnie who had his for decade. Luckily, not all California Look fans hang on to their cars - as it means people simply buy a good car and enjoy it without even having to find the car, the parts and all the other things associated with the build. I would say that I'm emotionally attached to my car, it has been part of my life for 16 years, and some of the parts have been with me since before then. Ultimately, it's 'only a car', but it's my car, and if I sold it I wouldn't have it anymore, and sorry, but I couldn't accept not owning it. I truly hope you enjoy your new car, it's been a long time since you had a VW and it's obvious that it has been the missing link in the chain, and this was driven home at EBI. I'll be happy to see you rolling into the stage in your new car. |
