Hi.

What is the thread size / type of the thread that I need for the various full flow items for my case, oil pump cover, filter head etc etc?

Can I buy the AN swivel type connectors that fit directly to my items or do I need a thread converter to allow this?   

Same for using the AN style fittings for the carbs etc.

Lastly, what size AN fittings do I need for 1/2" Oil hose?  AN10?
And what size would it be for 8mm fuel hose?

This is new territory for me.  And there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of help even if I google, (probably because I need a little bit of knowledge to start with...   :lol: )

Try Speedflow or mocal for fittings.

Not sure which parts you have, but the thread is usually 3/8NPT in the pump covers, filter heads etc. if you are going to for the Aeroquip style of fittings, use -8 for the oil system (I.e. You fit a 3/8NPT to -8 male/male fitting in the pump cover, filter head etc, then use the -8 swivel fittings on the hose. You need to get the hose to match the fittings but the speedflow website is quite comprehensive- I think this is 1/2" hose but have a look on the website.

No idea what carbs you are using, but if they are ida style, then I suggest you get the Jaycee type fitting to remove the banjo, then use -6.

Be warned- this lot comes out expensive........ When I plumbed my motor and fuel system I spend way in excess of £1000 in hoed and fittings.

Earls has a 3/8NPT Swivel Male with a #8 Hose end. Works great for me. Clears the pulley and only slight mod required for Tin. Street car mind you.

Partly for looks... but mainly for practicality.    Can remove a hose / fitting without ruining the hose.  Plus I'm sick of Jubilee clips breaking, coming loose etc.  It just looks professional, probably because it is more professional and safe than push on barb fittings and Jubilees..   

I learned the other day that AN and JIC are one and the same standard.  So that opens up options as to locations I can buy stuff.  :-)

Jic is used a lot on hydraulics jic will also have a small ID but the thread sizes and cone are the same as -AN
