he ran a 10.396 @ 139.40mph at bug jam in the street eliminator class, not bad for pump gas and treads
Russ Fellows has gone 9.51@141mph too
Sorry would have gone faster, but it was only my 4th run in the car.

I see you've kept the original hand driven starter system for the motor, have you got a billet crank handle for that Martin

I see some extra room towards the top of the engine compartment....strap on a couple more turbos that will stuff you in the 9's

Cheers.

Well its boxingday, the family's round drinking my beer and eating my food.
So i slipped of to the garadge
Ive got a new turbo for the car, so i thought i'd try and fit it up. You'll see its a little bit bigger than the last one.

its making over 500 hp at the moment at 2.2 bar, and were running a lambda of 7.8 (rich) on the dyno .The new turbo is going to run a little more boost, but the airflow is getting increased a lot more.
as for hp, we wont know until we get back on the dyno. this combo might not work, but youve got to give these things a try. I'm going to be messing with cam timing as well.

Cool, is that a GT35? if so what compressor size and with which A/R turbine?

Holy moly! That is HUGE
Then again, with such a large motor and those revs possible
Pls let me know when all is done, at what rpm it starts making boost, just for my curiosity.
Tnx!

it will make boost from 3.5 to 4K rpm and the motor revs to 9K the power starts dropping off slowly at 8.3K Rpm. this is why we are changing to the larger Turbo with more airflow.

Just got back from the rollers,
Bit of a funny night, as we had to cut short the session due to a failed alternator.
But New (much) Larger turbo and redesigned plenums and fuels system all works fantastic, It made the same HP as it used to at a much lower boost, with no increase in timing,
Going to get another Alternator tomorrow then get back on the rollers to get the boost up to a proper level and start advanceing the timing, then start working on the water injection as that will allow us to get even more timing in it.
night all.

IŽll bet you it will make 600+hp at the wheels with that new turbo, without increasing the boost past 2,2bar
Good luck.

the plan is to get it up to 3 bar, all depends on the fuel. were getting really good even EGT readings on the new inlet design, my only concern is the MSD, weather it will be able to light it up at that level.
Time will tell.
Always liked what youve done with the fastback
