Hey Jim, I have the set of F4's etubes. What would be the jetting ball park to start with? My jetting now is, 160 idles with 115 holders, 200 airs on F7's with 160 mains. Leave them, just change the e-tubes or ? Thanks Jim.

what size venturies Ted?
The F4 has holes most of the way down so I feel a real large air jet isn't needed.
My car is 40mm vent, 165 main, 180 air.

Hey Jim, I have 36 vents on them, had'em made, so maybe try a 180-185 air jet maybe?

I would think 160 is on the rich side for that venturi diameter. The F4, from what little information I have found on it and from the experimenting I've done with them vs other tubes, works with the larger vents. When I ran 37mm vents, the F2 ran better than F4. Mazda guys run F4's in 48IDA when high fuel volume is needed. They're a "thin" tube unlike the F11, allowing fuel draw to "last longer" from well. The effects of air corrector is extended too (holes all the way to bottom). I originally got mine from a guy that ran them in an alky motor midget. He told me "if you ever convert your car to run alcohol, you'll have these" (along with 3.00 needle valves). With the rise in alcohol content in our pump gas, I decided to try the F4 about 3-4 years ago and they made a night and day difference in throttle response and width of powerband. Where the F11 ran horribly lean, the F4 filled in that canyon. Where the F2 would run dirty in middle and up top, these ran clean.

Hey Jim, hope all is well. Will be trying the F4's this weekend, going to Garden Grove for the DKP Cruz, which for me is all street, then to Irwindale Sunday, which is some street and the rest freeway where I can open it up a little, let see what happens. Will also try the 180 airs and up the mains to 165, have 160's now. My idles are 115 holder with 60 idle jets.
