It's not that it's particularly bad, it's just not particularly good either! Just kind of average.  You know how good Appetite For Destruction was, and how when you got the Use Your Illusion albums you had that slight disappointment? Like they should have released just the best tracks on one album rather than two? Well this would be the other album, the one with the trqacks that wouldn't have made the one awesome UYI album! Perhaps not the best description, but you get the idea!  Perhaps I've got a bit of a downer on GN'R - I got Appetite For Destruction in 1988 when I was 11, and for a long time they were my favourite band. I never got to see them live until the Download festival in 2006 and I was so disappointed - they really were embarrasing to watch. The Kerrang journo gave them 0/5 and said that Axl Rose had "proceeded to take a 2hour and 45minute shit on the memory of what was one of the worlds best bands"! I swore then that I couldn't bring myself to listen to them again, but curiosity got the better of me and I bought the album with a CD voucher for xmas! so what youre saying is ... they suck that bad that they sucked all the suckers out of sucksville ??  |
