Bonamassa is crazy talented both on the guitar and vocally.  Saw the Royal Albert Hall concert last week, wow.....

He's technically very good but also at the same time not "cold", he plays with a lot of "feel"...

HA! So much WIN, right there. Good find, Rick.

Since I just had the honor of seeing this band perform last Friday evening:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/6SlWPQGMCfQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/6SlWPQGMCfQ</a>

They still sound excellent after not playing in the States for twenty three years and put on an AWESOME show. Only bummer for me... they didn't play my favorite tune, Georgia.

I have always been a Jethro Tull fan and A New Day Yesterday one of my favorite songs.  When I YouTubed the Tull version the other day, I noticed Joe's take on the song and loved it.  There is mention on Amazon that Joe opened for Jethro Tull a few years ago and had the nerve to do A New Day Yesterday.  You gotta be REALLY good to pull that kind of stuff off!  FYI, check out Joe's Rockpalast 2006
concert DVD.

Tull Rocks.

I wish all the Rockpalast concerts were on DVD. Iron Butterfly, Purple, Zep, Jimi etc. such a wealth of music on film.
Same goes for VPRO radio/TV station overhere. Tons of concerts, and they just collecting dust.

A perfect tune for tonight. Been enjoying this band ever since I played their albums on cassettes in my first Cal Looker three decades ago.

Guys, they were amazing. I was a bit concerned, because one of the guys we went to the gig with saw them in Amsterdam mid-week, and said that they were disappointing, but he said that the Wolverhampton gig made up for it! They were on top form and just basically kicked ass! Bloody loud tho! Shocked Grin

After work, today, the first two B52s albums have been playing at rather loud volume levels while birra from Italia is being consumed. Thank God it's Friday!

Later into the night, the old Go-Gos stuff came out for a re-visit back in time. Blasted their first album in my orange car almost non-stop back then. Here's an uncommon tune from them that I've always liked for obvious reasons.
