Syphon ? Independent stuff ?
not even that good.
3 man band I was in (drummer) in high school. At one point, we used a zither amplified to the point of distortion, played with a slide. It was an interesting time.
Worst music ever made.

yes Part Ludwig! I don't remember what else. It was scrapped together and patched and borrowed and broken. Only floor tom, snare, bass, hi-hat and one crash (I used it as ride too).
After the zither, we graduated to an Ibanez bass and electric. It was just a way to waste time in a garage and piss neighbors off. When we weren't making horrible noises we'd stage horrific fake bicycle accidents out in the street. Rip up a t-shirt, splatter fake blood everywhere, lay the bike on top of ourselves, take a wheel off and throw it up in a tree, wrap chain around our neck and wait for the soccer moms to drive by. It was hilarious. They'd see all the blood and lock the brakes up and scream in horror....

So our neighbours would have loved both of us in those days.....
I'm out of here for some days, going to tape and burn from radio. Not Rock, Not Indy, But the alternative 1000 jazz tracks.

I was a drummer in our high school band. But only because all the hot chicks were in the band as well and playing drums didn't require you to actually learn how to read music.
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no rhythm.
Oh and I am listening to:
Gregorian Chant
Hey, its one of those weird days, what can I say.

WTF?
We were the farthest thing away from the high school band. We "played" in my friend's family room or my garage (until parents came home). All the hot chicks were never anywhere near us....probably out of fear (tunes such as
I Hate the Mall
,
Placenta
,
Grandma Gives Good Head
,
Autistic Johnny
etc...probably weren't hip to the cheerleader set) . Well, as time went on we didn't just play horrible gloomy punk stuff (think early Sabbath, Minor Threat and jangly Syd Barrett/early Floyd mixed into a inaudible mess), but branched out into psychedelia, jazz, 70's rock covers. Still putrid. But more fun than you can imagine.
