Echoes (live) PINK FLOYD (France 1970) Where did you get that Floyd in France ? It's a bootleg, you know what...it isn't from France, it's from Quebec.... sorry... the announcer is speaking Francois. I found it in a record store in Chico CA, back in 1993.... has some good versions of: Embryo Fat Old Sun One of These Days (I'm Going to Cut You Into Little Pieces) Echoes the quality could be better, but hearing an early rendition of Echoes, before Floyd "softened" it, is cool. (my favorite version of Echoes has to be the Pompeii version, them playing all by themsleves in some ancient 2000 yr old stadium near Vesuvius) Gilmour is a genius musically, Waters is the master lyrically.........  |
